Corrections Policy
How to report an error, what we check, and how a fix appears on the page.
SECTION 01How to report an error
Send the report through any of the community channels on our Contact & Community page β the Telegram group, the Telegram channel, or Instagram. Three things make a report fast to check:
- The page: the link to the guide, or its exact title.
- The problem: what looks wrong, outdated, or confusing, in a line or two.
- The source, if you have it: the official page that shows something different. If you don't have it, report anyway β finding it is our job.
A correction never needs your personal information. Do not send passport details, application numbers, financial documents, or screenshots of your case β to us or to anyone in the community channels. A page link and a sentence are enough.
SECTION 02What we check
Every report is checked the same way the guide was written: we go back to the primary official source, re-read the passage behind the claim, and compare. That check has three possible outcomes:
We were wrong
The official source says something different from the guide. We fix the guide, and the change is marked as described below. Thank you β the correction makes the page better for everyone after you.
The rule changed
The guide was right when checked, but the official position has since moved. We update the guide to the current source and treat it as a rule change β including announcing it in the Telegram channel, because other readers may be acting on the old version.
The guide stands
The official passage still supports the guide β sometimes the confusing version is the one circulating in chats and videos. We reply with the source passage so you can see the basis yourself, and if the confusion is common, we clarify the wording on the page.
Reports about steps readers are actively taking β a fee, a deadline, a required form β are checked first, because those are the ones where a wrong line costs someone the most.
SECTION 03What a fix looks like on the page
Corrections are visible, by design:
- A change note on the page records what changed and when, so a returning reader can see the difference instead of wondering whether they misread it.
- An UPDATED badge appears on the guide for 30 days after a material change, including in hub listings, so updated guides stand out from untouched ones.
- A new verification date replaces the old stamp β the date always shows when the content was last checked against the official sources.
- A channel announcement follows any correction that changes what a reader should do, so the fix reaches people who read the earlier version.
One honest exception: spelling, formatting and broken-link repairs that change no meaning may be made without a change note. Anything that changes what a reader should understand or do is always noted.
SECTION 04Our commitment
We would rather publish a visible correction than quietly be right later. If a claim cannot be re-verified against an official source, we do not leave it standing on confidence: it is fixed, annotated as unverified with the official page linked, or removed. That is the same standard set out in our Editorial Policy β this page is simply what that standard looks like when it is your report that triggers it.
Guides on this site are verified against official sources before publication β see our Editorial Policy for how.
